Lenovo Z5 Pro, screen slider and in-display fingerprint reader
Another smartphone with a sliding screen arrives from China. This is Lenovo Z5 Pro with Super AMOLED display and a mid-range hardware equipment. The price is therefore lower than that of its direct competitors, namely Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 and Honor Magic 2.
The peculiarity of the smartphone is therefore the sliding screen that hides the dual front camera. Horror Magic 2, but in this case the slide down is also necessary to make a call, since the capsule is not directly accessible. This allowed to reduce the thickness of the frames to about 2 millimeters, in order to obtain a 95.06% screen-body ratio.
The 6.39-inch Super AMOLED screen has a full HD + resolution (2340×1080 pixels) and a 19.5: 9 aspect ratio. The hardware includes the octa core Snapdragon 710 processor, 6 GB of RAM, 64/128 GB of memory , two 16 and 24 megapixel rear cameras, a 16 megapixel front camera and an 8-megapixel IR camera for the Face Unlock.
USB Type-C, in-display fingerprint reader and Dolby Atmos stereo speakers. The battery has a capacity of 3,350 mAh. 802.11ac WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC and LTE with dual SIM support. The operating system is Android 8.1 Oreo with ZUI 10 interface.
The Lenovo Z5 Pro will be available in China from November 11th. Prices are 1,998 yuan (6GB + 64GB) and 2,298 yuan (6GB + 128GB), about 250.00 euros and 290.00 euros, excluding taxes.
