Samsung Galaxy Z Flip, official images

After various rumors about design and specifications, it is finally possible to see the Galaxy Z Flip in some official images that Samsung passes as advertising material. Render, known by the well-known leaker Roland Quandt, selected several details of the folding smartphone that will be announced together with the Galaxy S20 series on February 11th.

The Galaxy Z Flip has a shell design, like the Motorola Razr. The hinge along the horizontal axis allows you to open the angles between 70 and 110 degrees. Along the edges are the volume button, the USB Type-C port and the fingerprint reader (hidden under the power button). Absent the 3.5mm audio jack.

All the corners of the lower half have been added two rubber bumpers to cushion the blow due to the closure. Samsung therefore wants to protect the 6.7-inch internal screen (2636×1080 pixels), on which there is an ultra thin glass (ultra thin glass) that offers greater resistance to scratches compared to the polymer used for the Galaxy Fold.

Hardware equipment requires integration of the Snapdragon 855+ octa core processor, 8 GB of RAM, 256 GB of memory, 10 megapixel in-display front camera, dual 12 megapixel rear camera (standard + ultra wide angle), Wi-Fi connectivity Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, Galileo, NFC and LTE, 3,300 mAh battery with fast and wireless charging, AKG stereo speakers. Next to the photo module there is a small 1.06-inch (300×116 pixel) screen that shows date, time, notifications and other information.

The operating system will obviously be Android 10 with One UI 2.0 interface. Until now, a price of less than 1,000 euros was assumed. Instead it seems that European users have shelled out around 1,500 euros.
