iPhone 12 Pro: Face ID 2, new colors and more RAM

Everything is going according to plan. Here are the latest news on iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone SE2 revealed by Barclays analysts.

Last November we told you about a note to investors published by Blayne Curtis, an analyst for Barclays, according to which on the iPhone front everything was going well in the assembly line. Now we are not only able to confirm this, but we also have some more details about the new iPhones that will come. Let’s talk about Face ID 2, more RAM and 3D scans, as well as new colors.

iPhone 12 & iPhone 12 Pro

As for iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Max, we can confirm that they will both have 6GB of RAM, that is 2GB more than the quantity currently installed as standard on the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max; this means that it will be possible to keep more apps open, without having to reload them every time.

In addition, the presence of the 3D rear camera module and mmWave support is confirmed, which should guarantee improved 5G performance. But we always talk about the Pro models.

The basic version of iPhone 12 should in fact remain anchored to the old 4GB of RAM, therefore equal to iPhone 11. And although technically on the front of mobile connectivity, iPhone 12 will also support 5G, on the other hand it is not clear whether it will also include support for mmWave, at sub-6GHz or both.

Update: A new note for USB – perfectly aligned with what previously revealed by other analysts – reveals the expected lineup of the new iPhones in September.
