Honor 8 updated to Android 8.0 Oreo

The Chinese manufacturer announced that the smartphone would not be updated to the latest version of the Google operating system. Surprisingly, following the pressing demands of users, Android 8.0 Oreo will be released for Honor 8. The roll-out will begin on July 31st.

The words of honor leave no room for interpretation:

We’re sorry to inform you that Honor 8 is not compatible with the Android Oreo update due to hardware and software limitations.

The turnaround of the producer confirms that nothing is impossible, even if the development involves investments of time and money for a product of almost two years ago, but still valid and much appreciated. After gathering feedback from hundreds of users, Honor decided to listen to his community and release the planned update.

Honor 8 has an elegant 2.5D diamond glass body with aluminum edges. The hardware includes a 5.2-inch IPS screen with Full HD resolution (1920×1080 pixels), Kirin 960 octa core processor, 4 GB of RAM, 32 GB of memory, microSD slot, dual 12-megapixel rear camera, front-facing camera 8 megapixels, 802.11ac WiFi Modules, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC and LTE, fingerprint reader, USB Type-C port, 3.5 mm audio jack and 3000 mAh battery.

The Android 8.0 Android interface will obviously be modified with the manufacturer’s EMUI. The original price of the smartphone was 399.00 euros. Today it is possible to buy it for less than 250 euros.
