Xiaomi Mi A2 coming to Europe with Android One

The excellent Xiaomi Mi A1 is the European equivalent of the Mi 5X available in China. The Mi 6X was announced the end of April 2018 and now it is awaiting the arrival in Italy of the correspondent Mi A2. The main difference will obviously be the operating system (or better, its interface). The smartphone should have Android One, stock version without customization, so without the famous MIUI.

The Chinese manufacturer has not yet formalized the Mi A2, but a Swiss retailer has published a page with specifications, colors and price. The smartphone has a 5.9 inch screen with full HD + resolution (2160×1080 pixels) and an aspect ratio of 18: 9. The hardware equipment includes an octa core Snapdragon 660 processor, flanked by 4 or 6 GB of RAM and 32/64/128 GB of flash memory. For the dual rear camera, 12 and 20 megapixel Sony sensors have been chosen, while the front one has a resolution of 20 megapixels.

Connectivity is guaranteed by the 802.11ac WiFi modules, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS and LTE with dual SIM support. There are also the fingerprint reader on the back, the USB Type-C port and an infrared sensor. Absent the microSD slot and 3.5mm audio jack. The battery has a capacity of 3,010 mAh and supports fast charging.

The colors should be black, blue and gold. The prices indicated by the Swiss retailer are 289 francs (4GB + 32GB), 329 francs (4GB + 64GB) and 369 francs (6GB + 128GB). The expected date for the start of sales is August 8th
