The new controllers of Valve and Amazon are revealed

The giant of media and online shopping, Amazon, at least according to the pictures, is preparing to release a gaming controller. The photographs come from the site’s tech blogger Dave Zatz, who took them from the competent authority for telecommunications in Brazil, which regulates issues such as marketing approval of this type of products in the country. The controller, as you can see, is following the order of the Xbox controller in regards to the position of the levers and buttons, while distinguishable buttons System Android, and key media playback.

It seems that the controller could work with the rumored set-top box that supposedly prepares the Amazon, which is based on Android and can play media and games, but no way it can be used with tablets and Kindle Fire. This is another glimpse at Amazon’s plans in regards to gaming, which is not yet clear, but also include the acquisition of Double Helix, a predominantly game development studio.

On the other hand, Valve has been much more clear its plans with living room and the Steam Controller is a key point of these. As revealed on Steam Dev Days in January, Steam Controller will change form, leaving the touchscreen was one of the basic features.

Now, Valve released the first picture of the new console, as modified by feedback from the community of game developers who worked with him, with the full presentation takes place at Game Developers Conference in San Francisco this week. As you can see in the photo, the touch screen has been replaced with a home button resembling those of PlayStation and Xbox, while the more traditional buttons and «d-pad» have taken place just below.

On the sides are dominated, as always, two touchpads that will replace the analog sticks. The buttons Stop and Play next to Steam button look for media controls, which probably refers to multimedia services prepared by the Valve about Steam. Given that it has launched the week of GDC, we may have more information soon, but for now, the throttle Steam seems clearly more convenient.
