Surface RT offer | Touch Cover at no cost until July
The official tablet from Microsoft with Windows RT has become a bit more attractive thanks to an offer that cuts the costs of Touch Cover. The keyboard case keys with touch now come with the Surface RT at no cost, unfortunately only in black color, cutting the cost by no less than € 119 Package tablet with keyboard. The offer is valid in Europe until 30 June for purchases from the store and Microsoft presumably from the retailers although it is not clear which of these are joining. The cost of the Surface RT 32GB with Touch Cover is lowered therefore at an altitude of € 488 , while the 64GB variant falls to € 592 for a savings of respectively 16% and 14%.

Cover problem is solved but it remains a platform on the edge of the flop. The cost of exaggerated Touch Cover was one of the most obvious problems of the tablet from Microsoft which according to many was supposed to include the accessory at no additional cost because it was part of the system. Although the offer solves the cover problem, it is difficult to pass on to other serious problems of the platform such as the severely limited app store in the number and quality of applications, an older generation of ARM hardware and overall a poorly optimized performance and disk space.

It’s the same problems that have convinced Dell to cut prices of its XPS 10 in hybrid format which can also be purchased for 300 €. Perhaps the only sensible purchase in the Windows RT segment.
