Royole FlexPai, flexible 3-in-1 AMOLED screen

Samsung promised the arrival of a folding smartphone on the market, but the Korean giant was anticipated by a small Californian company that announced the Royale FlexPai, the world‘s first smartphone with a flexible AMOLED display. The device can be used in various ways, using a single screen or three separate screens.

The tablet mode (open) you can interact with a 7.8-inch display with full HD + resolution (1920×1440 pixels) and 4: 3 aspect ratio. The operating system Water OS 1.0, based on Android 9 Pie, allows you to combine two apps and improve productivity. When the FlexPai is folded along the central hinge, the smartphone mode is activated with three screens that can be used independently. The one on the back, in particular, shows notifications for calls, emails and messages.

The device incorporates a Snapdragon 8 processor, probably the future Snapdragon 8150 with GPU Adreno 640, 8 GB of RAM and 64/128 GB of storage, expandable with microSD cards. There are also two 16 and 20 megapixel cameras that can be used for normal shots and selfies. The hardware equipment also includes WiFi modules, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS and LTE, stereo speakers, fingerprint reader and USB Type-C port that allows you to quickly charge the battery of 3,800 mAh, thanks to the Ro-Charge technology.

The FlexPai is only available in China, but could arrive in Europe. On the official website are in fact indicated prices in euros: 1,338 euros (64 GB) and 1,539 euros (128 GB).
