Polaroid Cube is updated with WiFi to not record blindly

Not only GoPro or Sony renew their action cameras, we have already noticed that there are many players in this market which keep evolving every year, trying to make the difference that makes them poach customers from the market leaders. Among the youngest we have Polaroid, which last year unveiled a tiny and colourful proposal with the Cube model.

One summer later, Polaroid will hit the market with a renovation that fixes just what was needed, and has left what was liked as it was. Its name indicates that this is an evolution rather than a revolution: Polaroid Cube +.

WiFi connectivity was necessary

What makes it more appealing is that now it has WiFi connectivity, which seems normal in this type of cameras and opens the door to functionality and ease of use.

The reason is that now we can make it be friends with any mobile device -there’s app for iOS and Android- and see what we are recording from its screen, or change settings. Something vital in such a small gadget!

Polaroid boasts about recording in 1080p format in good condition, and about shooting 8-megapixel pictures, the former remained at 6. For now there are no signs of video or photo to share, we will keep an eye to update if we have access to them.

The size is exactly the same as the original Cube, a 35 mm square -we can use accessories-. The design is also repeated, and is perhaps the most striking about the Cube, created by the guys at Ammunition Group, known for its work with Beats, Lyft, or more recently, the June intelligent oven.

New colours available

They take advantage of the new model to use new colours, if the original cube was sold in red, black and blue, you can now choose pink and green. How much does it cost? We have the price for the United States, where it appears in August for $ 150. The original model remains in the catalog at a price of $ 99.
