Nokia 8.1, debut expected on December 5th

HMD Global has organized an event for December 5th. As anticipated last month, the protagonist could be the Nokia 8.1, international version of the Nokia X7, available only in China. In the last hours some images have appeared online that confirm the main features.

The promotional material published by Nokiapoweruser does not disclose the trade name, but only indicates that in code (Phoenix). There is no doubt, however, that it is precisely the Nokia 8.1 with a 6.18-inch screen with notch. On the back you can see the fingerprint reader and the double rear camera with 12 and 13 megapixel sensors, Zeiss optics and dual LED flash.

For the front camera a 20-megapixel sensor was chosen instead. The hardware equipment also includes a Snapdragon 710 processor, 4 or 6 GB of RAM and 64/128 GB of storage. Connectivity is guaranteed by the 802.11ac WiFi modules, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS and LTE. There are also the 3.5 mm audio jack, the USB Type-C port and the 3,500 mAh battery. Like other recent models, the Nokia 8.1 is also an Android One smartphone. The operating system is therefore Android 9 Pie in stock version.

It will take less than a week to go to the event, so they will certainly experience new information on the device. However, only the manufacturer can confirm the specifications, as well as communicate the price and the markets in which it will be distributed.
