MWC 2019: Samsung announces Galaxy A50 and A30

Samsung has brought to the Mobile World Congress 2019 in Barcelona the new Galaxy A30 and A50, the first two models in the series that, according to the latest rumors, should include seven other smartphones. The main differences between the two devices are hidden inside, but two of them are also visible on the back.

The Galaxy A30 has two cameras with 16 and 5 megapixel sensors, combined with lenses with f / 1.7 and f / 2.2 aperture. The Galaxy A50 instead has three cameras, two with sensors of 25 and 8 combined with lenses with aperture f / 1.7 and f / 2.2, while the third with 5 megapixel (f / 2.2) captures the information on the depth. The fingerprint reader is traditional for the Galaxy A30, while it is in-display type for the Galaxy A50.

The Galaxy A30 also incorporates a 16-megapixel front camera, Exynos 7904 octa core processor, 3/4 GB of RAM and 32/64 GB of storage, expandable with microSD cards. These are the specifications of the Galaxy A50: Exynos 9610 octa core processor, 4/6 GB of RAM, 64/128 GB of storage, microSD slot and 25-megapixel front camera. Both have a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-U screen (2340×1080 pixels), so there’s a notch at the top.

Connectivity is guaranteed by the 802.11ac WiFi modules, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC and LTE. Also present the 3.5 mm audio jack, the USB Type-C port and a 4,000 mAh battery with fast charging. The operating system is Android 9 Pie. In Italy will arrive only the Galaxy A50 (April) at a price of 359.00 euros.
