Mobile World Congress 2016: What Can we Expect?

With only a few weeks to go, the heat is on for the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2016 or MWC 2016 in Barcelona, Spain which is happening between February 22 and February 25. With big players from Korea, China and Japan, all eyes are on what the new Android phone launches to take place and what surprises are in for Android phone users.

We have already written about Samsung Galaxy S7 which is rumored to be unveiled at the MWC. But what else can we expect in this special event?

LG G5

While the launch of the S7 is still a rumor, LG has already confirmed an unveiling of its next-gen smart phone, the LG G5. Said to sport a 5.6-inch HD display and dual rear cameras, this flagship is also rumored to have an eye-tracking feature, which if true, will make the G5 the most secure phone this year. Another feature is the Snapdragon 820 processor.

HTC M10

Although the HTC M9 was not popular last year, this new flagship is expected to be better than its predecessor. In fact, there have been speculations that they are ditching the term “M10” and instead go for HTC Perfume. This new Android phone will have a 12MP Ultrapixel camera and a 5.1-inch AMOLED display. It will also have a fingerprint scanner, according to sources.

Sony Xperia C6

Invites have already been sent out by Sony for the MWC this year but nothing is still definite about a launch. A press conference, however, is set by the Japanese company on February 22nd. People are to expect at least three possibilities: tablet, phone and wearable. There are strong rumors of a Sony Xperia Z6 tablet to appear.
