Now that the new Mac Pro with the extremely delicate XDR Pro Display is finally available, we had fun calculating how much it would cost in the flagship version with all the frills. This is how the shock figure of over € 62,000 is reached.

As with any other Cupertino product, a la carte options are also available for the Mac Pro, offering customized features and machine performance. RAM, GPU, SSD, Afterburner cards, wheels and accessories that help to increase the price for the user.

In itself, the base model is equipped with an Intel Xeon W 8 core 3.5 GHz CPU, 32 GB of memory, Radeon Pro 580X graphics card and a 256 GB SSD: no Magic Mouse 2 and Magic Trackpad 2 are included! But if you set all the options, the result is a powerful and expensive workstation:

Processor Intel Xeon W 28 cores at 2.5 GHz (Turbo Boost up to 4.4 GHz): + 8.400 €

1.5 TB (12×128 GB) of ECC DDR4 memory: + € 30,000

Stainless steel frame with wheels: + € 480

Magic Mouse 2 + Magic Trackpad 2: + € 149

Total: € 62,668 and fear passes; and we didn’t add the software like Final Cut Pro X and Logic Pro X, if we didn’t exceed € 63,000.
