The LG company had the patience to wait until the official start of CES 2014. With detailed press release, revealed its plans concerning the webOS TV platform which will endow 70% of televisions that will be released in 2014. Recall that the Linux-based operating developed by Palm as a mobile OS, then bought by HP and eventually sold at a bargain price at LG to turn into functional for smart TVs.

The three bases underlying the webOS are the following: simple connection, simple switching and simple discovery. The simple connection function is a set of technologies that will help the user can configure for the first time on the TV. The culmination of these devices is the animated character Bean Bird, who works as a tour guide in the menu of TV.

By simple switching, the LG means easy transition from application to application on the TV screen. Already services Twitter, Netflix, Hulu Plus, Amazon Instant Video, Vudu, CinemaNow and MLB.tv have applications for webOS TVs of LG. To simple discovery a set of search tools: Built in web browser, voice commands and voice search, and manipulation through gestures. The first webOS TVs will be released in South Korea and later in 2014, will arrive in Europe and USA.
