LG Magic Remote with voice recognition

Saying “Find me Gangnam style” to your remote control could be a good way to get exactly the media you want. Personally I doubt that many are those willing to want to look for just the video of Psy. Fortunately the new voice interface smart LG is quite flexible and lets you search for whatever you want. The revamped LG Magic Remote is reminiscent of a multimedia version of Apple’s Siri.

To activate the voice recognition it is sufficient to press a special button and push the remote control to you mouth as if it were a microphone. There are other methods of input of course such as the particularly well-pleasing central wheel style mouse. Since each menu or option that you respect is presented in a list I do not think there is a more convenient method of selection except perhaps just to talk to the remote control.

Over the years people have always shown a certain reluctance in dialogue with appliances despite the positive impact of Siri which is slightly duty paid practice. A remote control can not miss the smart motion sensors and LG also allows the use of gestures so refined that you can literally write in the air what you want to try. Of course there are still other gestures that make a shortcut for frequently used interface elements such as calling the channel list.

The LG Magic Remote is designed especially for the LG Smart TV which is a standard-bearer.
