LG K50S and K40S, FullVision screen and Android 9 Pie

The Korean manufacturer has announced two new smartphones that will be shown at IFA 2019 in Berlin. These are the LG K50S and K40S, updated versions of the K50 and K40 presented at the Mobile World Congress 2019 in Barcelona. The main differences are represented by the screen diagonal, the number of cameras and the battery capacity.

The most interesting is obviously the K50S. This smartphone has a 6.5-inch FullVision display with HD + resolution (1520×720 pixels), 2 GHz octa-core processor, 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage, expandable with microSD cards up to 2 TB. The front camera has a 13 megapixel sensor, while for the three rear cameras 13 and 5 megapixel sensors have been chosen, combined with standard and wide-angle lenses, to which is added a 2 megapixel depth sensor. The battery has a capacity of 4,000 mAh.

The K40S instead has a 6.1-inch FullVision screen (1520×720 pixels), 2 GHz octa-core processor, 2/3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage, microSD slot, 13 and 5 megapixel rear cameras, front camera from 13 megapixels and 3,500 mAh battery. Both models have an audio jack and a Google Assistant button.

The new K-series smartphones have also received MIL-STD-810G certification. Connectivity is guaranteed by the 802.11b / g / n WiFi modules, Bluetooth, GPS and LTE (dual SIM). The operating system is Android 9 Pie. Two colors are available: New Aurora Black and New Moroccan Blue. The LG K50S and K40S will arrive in Europe in October. Prices have not been communicated.
