HTC Vive Focus Plus, new viewer for virtual reality

HTC Vive Focus Plus is a new virtual reality viewer for business users.

HTC continues to invest and believe in virtual reality and has announced the new Vive Focus Plus, an evolution of the well-known Vive Focus. This is a viewer for the standalone virtual reality, ie it does not need a direct connection with the PC. This product was designed by HTC for business users rather than for the consumer market.

HTC Vive Focus Plus offers very interesting technical content. First of all, it has a double 6-DoF controller with ultrasonic tracing. Controllers that also have two activation buttons and a trackpad. The goal is to offer users maximum freedom in virtual environments. This aspect is very important, especially in some areas as the viewer is designed to be used in places such as companies, hospitals and more.

HTC Vive Focus Plus integrates a sophisticated 3K AMOLED display (2880 × 1600 pixels) and above all the performing Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. In addition, it has been designed to ensure maximum comfort even during long sessions of use.

Although designed for business environments, HTC Vive Focus Plus is still compatible with Viveport Infinity, the well-known subscription service that offers the possibility to freely access a catalog of games and applications. A service that will be made available starting from the 2nd of April.

HTC Vive Focus Plus will go on sale during 2019 at a price not yet announced. This viewer, however, will be shown during the Mobile World Congress 2019 which will start in a few days.
