Emporio Armani, new Wear OS smartwatches: output and features
Following in the footsteps of Marc Jacobs, Emporio Armani has also announced a new smartwatch with Wear OS dedicated to fashion lovers: it’s called Emporio Armani Connected 2018 and will be available for purchase by the end of the month, at the starting price of $ 295. It is also customizable as the brand offers different straps, designed to meet every need and desire.
Aesthetically, Emporio Armani Connected 2018 features a design with a round dial, stainless steel body and 1.19-inch AMOLED display, as well as a metal, rubber / leather or leather strap. Since they are still smart devices and not purely watches, the models come with high-tech features that are commonly found in wearable devices.
Armani’s smartwatch includes both GPS and heart rate monitors, a move that puts it on par with most other wearables; in addition, the watch is waterproof, allowing users to wear it even when swimming or in the rain without having to worry. In addition to the classic features dedicated to fitness, it is worth noting that the device supports Google Pay, so you can also use it to make purchases directly from your wrist. In addition, as with all new Wear OS devices, the Google Assistant is once again a central part of the product.
Emporio Armani Connected 2018 will work with all Android smartphones with version 4.4 KitKat and later, and with iPhones that mount iOS 9.3 or higher. The models can already be booked on the Armani website, while shipments all over the world will start in September.
