2 Inexpensive Action Cameras for 2015

The popularity of GoPro has not waned since it was introduced in the market years ago and has continued to be a strong brand when it comes to action cameras. However, it can also be too expensive for travelers who love adventures and prefer to go on a budget. With the growing market for this equipment, other manufacturers have come up with their own action cameras for consumers.

Here are two latest action cams for 2015:

  • Drift Stealth 2

This compact yet sturdy action camera is lightweight and sleek in design. If there is one thing big about this device, it is its rotating lens. With this feature, the user will be able to change the orientation in a vertical format even if it the camera is mounted on the side of a helmet or horizontal format if mounted on a car’s dashboard. When it comes to recording, it is at 1080p at 30fps and 720p at 60fps in NTSC. Conversely, in PAL, it can be set at 1080p at 25fps and 720p at 25fps. One has to invest in waterproof housing, though since the kit does not come with one. With a market price of $129, this is not too bad for a performing, robust action camera without water protection,

  • Kaiser Baas x100

KBA12005-x80-001

For adventurers who love water sports, this box-type action camera comes with a 30m waterproof housing and wrist remote control. It has a resolution of 1080p at 30fps and 720p at 60fps.
