To our customers,

At Apple, we strive to create first-class products that provide the best possible experience for our customers. With the launch of the new maps last week, we have not achieved this goal. I am really sorry for the enormous frustration that this has caused to our customers and we are doing everything we can to create the best maps. We launched Maps initially with the first version of iOS. Over time, we wanted to provide our customers with the best maps that included step-by-step integration of voice, Flyover and vector maps. To do this, we had to create a new version of Maps from the ground up.
