Evil technology

Technology is not good or bad by itself, but it depends on how the man uses it. The same technologies that ensure the privacy and safety of people in oppressive regimes can be used for illegal acts. As well, the knowledge that scientists hold to deal with the next flu epidemic, can be used to make weapons. We made a list of those innovations designed to make the world a better place and that turned into tools of evil.

Zyklon B

The poison made famous by its use in Nazi concentration camps. The Zyklon B was originally used as a pesticide and disinfectant. Active ingredient of Zyklon B is hydrocyanic acid. It was created in the 1920’s contained a warning” smell, so they are safer to use. Used to control pests on citrus as well as cleaning clothing. The U.S. immigration service was used to pour the clothes of Mexican immigrants in the 1930’s, in the wake of the spread of epidemic typhus. Variations of this chemical are still sold in the Czech Republic.

Who has not used even once the Google Map to find an address or Google Earth to take a look at a site? This information can be a powerful weapon in the hands of terrorists, as demonstrated by the attacks in Mumbai in 2008, which led the Government of India to consider to ask Google to blur some of the pictures you provide and lodged and treated against the company.

Decades ago science fiction writers have envisioned a future with robots, which will serve man. This may at least partly come true when you consider the vacuum cleaners, cars and computers. There are already programs but autonomous weapons development land and sea in the U.S. Army, whose ban has asked the UN.
