Archos announced a new Bluetooth Keyboard
The aftermarket has a monstrous user base and it is also tempting to Archos which today announced an Ultra thin convertible Bluetooth keyboard derived from its line of Android. Take the Archos 101 XS, unplug the keyboard magnetic dock and what you get will be very close to this accessory simply called Bluetooth Keyboard for iPad.
The keyboard is a creation of a new division of the French company which has retained much of the design used by other products such as the Archos particular adjustable stand and a kind of folding origami or the magnetic coupling which as well as holding the tablet in place allows you to turn on and off automatically every time it is on-hook or off-hook.
The keyboard is a full QWERTY keyboard and uses physical buttons. In spite of this the engineers have managed to maintain a record of only 5mm thickness, almost to a Smart Cover and the result is the one that defines the Archos’ thinnest keyboard ever made for the iPad. Battery life is estimated at a few months of use and has a weight of 240g.
Functional, slim and also well crafted with a retro aluminum to maintain a look true to the Apple tablet. The keyboard is compatible with iPad second, third and fourth generation and will soon be available in Europe at a cost of € 69.
