A Glimpse of iPhone 6s and 6s Plus Models from Apple

Apple has just recently launched its new iPhone 6s and 6s Plus models in September and yet, the clamor of the public is far from being over. Less than a month after the launch, over 13 million units have already been sold and these were just from the first-wave release.

For iPhone lovers and those who have owned the smaller models, 5s and older, this duo makes a big difference. But for people who have the 6 and 6s models, there is much change to expect from the outside. The company, spearheaded by CEO Tim Cook, though, assures the public of the improvements done on the hardware.

Are iPhone 6s and 6s Plus fit to be called the best phones there are in the market today?

Size

When the 4.7” and 5”iPhone 6 and 6 Plus were first offered commercially, the wider screens received were welcomed by some but there were also those who felt uncomfortable with the size. A comment was that it became heavier to hold when used throughout the day. Although the new 6s and 6s Plus have the same screen sizes, the body is now made of a stronger aluminium alloy, the 7000 Series. The weight is also a tad heavier with all the changes done in the hardware.

Megapixels

Even with older iPhone models, camera performance had always received positive feedback. Now, these new phones boast of 12-megapixel cameras with the 6s Plus having Optical Image Stabilization. It also supports 40k video at 30 frames-per-second. As for FaceTime users, they will definitely enjoy the new 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

One of the most exciting features of these phones is the “peek and pop”. With slight pressure, for example, users are able to see a preview of an email or downloaded document. Press a little harder and the email or document opens.

Hardware

Although battery life has not changed, engineers made sure these units are more resistant to water. They have enclosed the battery, button and display in silicone seal for protection. This is the reason behind the slight change in thickness. Processors were upgraded and RAM, faster.

These are just some of the features of iPhones 6s and 6s Plus models. And if you are still undecided if you need a new iPhone, talks of an iPhone 7 model coming out in 2016 might just give you a harder time.
